WHAT  THE  HECK  HAPPENED??

Why is the Chatham Village Café

at the First United Methodist Church??

400 Main Street

After serving the Chatham Community for nearly 24 years from 400 Main St, our lease was not renewed because the landlord accepted a business proposal from someone else for our space.  In the blink of an eye and without any discussion, explanation or options, our family business, The Chatham Village Café, was given notice and had to move.

The Plan

When we were unable to find a new location for the Café, we decided to combined The Chatham Village Café with the Chatham Bakery (which we also own) and create the

Chatham Village Café & Bakery at 69 Crowell Road.

Everything you love about the Café and the Bakery at one location!!  Bagels, Muffins, Donuts, Breads, Pastries, Cakes, Coffee, Espresso, Sandwiches and Soups all together for one stop shopping!

The Fire

On March 4th, shortly after starting the plan for creating the

CHATHAM VILLAGE CAFÉ & BAKERY at 69 Crowell Road,

there was an electrical fire at our bakery causing extensive smoke and water damage.

The worked has began to repair the interior of the building at 69 Crowell and we are working hard to open The CHATHAM VILLAGE CAFÉ & BAKERY Mid-Sept 2015

Café’s Summer Location!

We have a Summer Location for the Café!

The First United Methodist Church (across from the Library in downtown Chatham) has generously donated the use of their commercial kitchen for the Chatham Village Café.   We are open 6a – 11am, Monday - Saturday and we are CLOSED on Sundays.  Our full breakfast menu along with all of our coffees, and yes, we brought our espresso machine, is being offered .  We are most happy we still  have a Café presence this summer!

Unfortunately, due to the equipment and the process required to make donuts, breads, cakes and pastries, we will not be able to offer the Bakery goods at this summer location.

Please Come to the Methodist Church and fill out a

“Let’s Keep in Touch” card to receive occasional updates for the OPENING of the

CHATHAM VILLAGE CAFÉ & BAKERY at 69 Crowell Road
Mid- September 2015

To Our Customers

We are humbled by your outpouring of support and concern.  It’s what keeps us going!
And we feel blessed with the generosity of Rev. Nancy Bischoff and the Congregation of the
First United Methodist Church.

We look forward to having everyone help us celebrate the

opening of the new Chatham Village Café & Bakery

at 69 Crowell Road, Chatham mid-September 2015
